National- Man commits suicide on I-17
Summary- Authorities were forced to shut down the I-17 Thursday when a man, identity unknown, jumped off the overpass. The man jumped the barrier and the chain link fence and once over proceeded to slide down the concrete wall until he fell and was struck by at least one vehicle.
Opinion- I would hate to be the guy that hit the falling man. If the man wouldn't have died it would have sucked for him because suicide is illegal in this state. If he had been assisted in a state like Oregon then it wouldn't have been illegal. (Thanks Mr.Hjort)

International- - Will Venezuela Ban Parents From Giving Their Children Odd Names?

Summary- Venezuela has decided not to ban parents from giving their children “unique” names such as, Edigaith, Mileidy or Superman. Venezuelan officials decided against it as it might interfere with “the right to liberty”. They have put out an official list that parents can use as a “reference” to name their child names that won’t expose them to ridicule, or are difficult to pronounce.

Opinion- Its good that the ban wasn't passed. Parents should be able to name their kids whatever they want. If the kid is made fun of that much for a name then they can go by a different one.

National- A man turns himself in.
A man in western New York faced grand larceny charges after being pulled over in a car that he said he stole so he could turn himself in for another charge. Estrada was pulled over and the car he was driving had recently been stolen from a parking lot. Police said Estrada was wanted on a family court warrant.

Opinion- I don’t buy the story that he was on his way to turn himself in. he probably said this to get less time. Who would steal a car to go turn themselves in? He didn’t have to go through all that trouble. He could have just called the police and they would have come to pick him up.
