Three powerful quakes hit Pacific

Three strong earthquakes struck Sunday near New Zealand and the U.S. territory of Guam in remote parts of the South Pacific. magnitude 7.3 earthquake was registered near New Zealand's uninhabited Auckland Islands, about 300 miles southwest of its southernmost city of Invercargill.Earlier, a magnitude 7.1 quake shook the Pacific Ocean about 215 miles southeast of the island of Guam, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The USGS put the magnitude at 6.8. Stuart Weinstein, the assistant director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, said the quake was in an isolated part of the Pacific Ocean where they seldom occur, and that it was probably felt on Guam as well as Saipan, part of the U.S. commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

opinion
it would be worse if anyone died from the quake. I lived in Newzeland and I have actually felt the quake. when I felt the quake i was kind of scared. i hope there would be amount of damages and the government should also have teach people how to evacuate fast from the quake area.

21.7 million pounds of beef recalled

Topps Meat Co. on Saturday expanded a recall of ground beef from about 300,000 pounds to 21.7 million pounds, one of the largest meat recalls in U.S. history. In a statement, the Elizabeth, New Jersey, company said the hamburger patties may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, a bacterium that can cause severe diarrhea and cramps. The packages also have the marking "Est. 9748" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Tuesday, the company announced a recall of about 331,000 pounds of hamburger meat, according to the USDA.

opinion
there are lot of bad people who cheat to sell harmful food. I can't believe they have sold 300,000 meats. it also says that it was the largest recall in U.S. however there might some people who have ate this meat. I hope they don't get sick. the government should be more secure about this case and give consequence to the factory.

N Korea nuke talks end, no deal

Six-nation disarmament talks on North Korea ended Sunday without an expected agreement and with envoys instead opting to send a detailed, draft plan on shuttering the North's nuclear programs to their governments for approval. The four days of talks, which began on an optimistic note after North Korea agreed to disable its programs by year's end.Though Hill declined to disclose details and the draft was not released, South Korean envoy Chun Yung-woo said the proposed blueprint set some deadlines for North Korea and for the other parties to meet.however, did not comment on whether the draft addressed earlier sticking points. During the recent talks, disagreement arose over the definition of disabling. Hill, the U.S. envoy, said earlier that the U.S. wants a dismantling process that means a nuclear facility could not be made operational for at least 12 months.

opinion
the northkorea is being not helping others. they are not cooperating wih U.S and being selfish. every country wants north korea to disable nuke. but north korea ignored which will tell that every country will have bad feelings and relationships with North korea. i don't like the attitude of North korea. I hope every thing goes smooth and well so noone can worry about it.

Police identify body of missing Chicagowoman
Authorities said Friday that a badly decomposed body is that of a Chicago woman whose family spent nine days exhaustively searching for her. Franklin, a sales representative for Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly, was reported missing September 19 after she didn't show up for a work meeting. Days before her body was found, her car and some personal items were found near an abandoned building in Hammond, Indiana, three miles from Calumet City. The cause of death has not been determined, though forensic evidence was still being processed.Franklin's disappearance triggered a frantic search. Family members and volunteers papered the city with fliers, took out a newspaper ad seeking the public's help and launched a Web site. The family also offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

opinion
it is sad to hear this kind of news. i can imagine the missing woman's family. how sad would they be?. i don't understand why people kill people instead of just take the money and car and let her live. the consequence of killing and stealing is very different. why would they kill her? I hope the police gets the killer and sentence death to those people

I turned late because I was at emergency and was very sick. please understand.

Polygamist “Prophet”

Summary

Polygamy leader and “prophet” Warren Jeffs was convicted of assisting rape by placing a fourteen-year-old girl in a marriage she did not want to be in. The prosecution had many witnesses, one of whom was another young girl who was placed in a marriage she also did not want. The conviction could place Jeffs in prison for life. He is the president of the Fundamental Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and has about ten thousand followers. Police sharpshooters were placed on cliffs in a town where authorities were afraid of retaliation by Jeffs’ followers.

Opinion

I’m glad authorities finally found, caught, and convicted Jeffs. He has been carrying out these arranged marriages for far too long. He has been a leader in horrific activities to these poor young ladies. His organization is one for men; for men to control and use and abuse women, and is horrible. I’m not speaking about all of Mormons, but specifically Jeffs’ church. The time has come, and came a long time ago, for this type of actions to be put to an end.

Gay Bishops in the Africa

Summary

Peter Akinola, an Archbishop of the Episcopal Church, wants an outright ban on consecrations of gay bishops. The U.S. Episcopalian Church did not pass a ban on gay bishops like Anglican leaders wanted, but did urge their bishops to “exercise restraint” of approving gay bishops, and did not approve of official prayer meetings supporting same-sex ideals. Akinola will keep fighting to try to get the ban passed. He works out of Nigeria, where homosexuality is widely thought to be wrong.

Opinion

More power to you, Akinola!!!!!! This guy has the right idea, and the stupid church won’t listen to him. Homosexuality is an abomination and should not be allowed in churches. It should especially not be allowed in church leadership. As soon as a church approves of homosexuality, that church is not of God, and warrants God’s forsaking them. I think it good that most of Nigeria looks negatively at homosexuality. We need some people from Nigeria to come to America and be missionaries in our churches to try to set us right. I hope Akinola succeeds.

Samurai Woman and Scared Children

Summary

A woman in Eagle, Colorado, chased a few children, ages 9-15, around with an 18-inch Samurai sword. The children were Hispanic, and the woman was shout racial remarks at the children. She said to the children, “If you’re scared, then you’re guilty.” She also told them to go back to their own country. She threatened to cut off one girl’s ponytail. She was investigated and arrested on several charges including ethnic intimidation.

Opinion

My first reaction is to laugh. This sort of sounds like a scene from a movie. One also has to admit that it does have a certain element of humor to it. However, after reading the article a little more, it is sort of sad. This woman sounds sort of like a nut. She seems to be racist, but I cannot yet be sure. I am right wing, and agree that the illegals should be sent back to their country, but from the looks of this situation, the woman could not be sure, and maybe not even speculate, that these children were illegal. That is racial profiling. Also, even if they are illegal, here actions were wrong. The illegals should be dealt with by the law. Still, it is sort of funny if you look at the picture and imagine this crazy lady chasing children. Sounds like it’s from a movie.

Ahmadinejad Again

Summary

Iranian president Ahmadinejad, in the past, has said that the Israeli people should all be killed. Now, he is denying these sorts of statements. He called his nation “friends” with the Jewish people. He also said that the freedoms in Iran are genuine and that women enjoy the greatest freedoms in Iran. He also is now claiming that the U.S. government staged the terrorist attack in New York on September eleventh, 2001. He has also claimed that the Holocaust caused by Nazi Germany was a hoax.

Opinion

This guy HAS to be one of the biggest retards on the planet. Staged!?!?!?! Seriously!?!? One has to have an IQ of 2 to believe that 9/11 and the Nazi Holocaust was staged. He is also denying the statements he has made about how the Jewish people should be wiped off of the planet. His name was in the toilet when he first said that the Jews should be killed, but he now has LESS, if possible, credit to his name because he retracted his statements. This is why: everyone knows that what he first said is what he really believes, so his new statements don’t redeem him, and, now he can’t even stick to his radical ideals, but is swayed by everyone’s hating him. This can be good for the rest of the world, because he can be pressured into doing or not doing what others want or don’t want, but he still has a worse name for it.

Illegals Arrested

Summary

Federal Agents made at least fifty-six arrests of people in the country illegally. These people were employees of eleven different McDonald’s in Reno, Sparks, and Fernley. The mayor of Reno, Bob Cashell, criticized this move by the federal government saying that there is a better way to deal with this. Luther Mack is in business in Reno and owns some of the McDonald’s that were raided. He said that he never knowingly hired any illegals. The spokesman for the federal agency, Richard Rocha, said that they do not conduct random sweeps, just targeted searches, which is what this was.

Opinion

This is good. Every time illegals are arrested, a good thing is done. This is a small action that is trying to keep this country a great nation. Even though not much progress is made, law enforcement is helping to keep this situation from getting worse, and at least from getting worse at a faster rate. This raid is also making a statement from the federal government to businesses that hire illegals. A good thing is done here. By the way, Cashell is stupid for criticizing this action, and is just contributing to the decline of the moral standards of this nation.

al Qaeda Leader Killed

Summary

Army Brigadier General Joseph Anderson reported that coalition forces killed al Qaeda leader Abu Usama al-Tunisi. He said that this man was a major part of the insurgent movement in Iraq, so this is a “significant blow” to al Qaeda. Al-Tunisi was a big organizer for insurgent attacks on American forces in Iraq. Al-Tunisi was operating in Yusufiya since the battle at Falluja in 2004.

Opinion

This is a good thing that has happened in Iraq. If this really does hinder al Qaeda as much as Anderson says it will, then good is happening in Iraq. Nay sayers of the war in Iraq say that no progress is being made, but this is progress. Many good things are happening in Iraq, and troops should stay. Pulling out of Iraq would be a huge mistake. This is only one of terrorist leaders that have been killed in the past few years. The area is being cleaned up by American troops, and this is good.

Gay Studies Classes

Summary

The first homosexual studies class in a university opened in 1972. Since then, these classes are offered at over more than two dozen American universities. Same-sex marriage and homosexuals dealing with the military are two of the topics discussed in class. A few of the classes available in this field are Homophobia, Coming Out, Gay Love in Literature, and Queer Art History. So many students want into some of these classes that some professors have to turn away students.

Opinion

“Coming Out” ?!?!?!?! What?!?! This is about as legitimate as a class solely about excretion. No; the class on poop would be more legitimate. This is just more actions of gay people and the movement to bring the morality of this nation down. This is an affront to all that stands for right. A class on homosexuality is just a place where these people want to feel good about themselves and let their evil movement grow. Someone should start a class on excretion, maybe that would be flooded with students too.

Protest March in D.C.

Summary

Many people gathered near the white house with the plan to march on the Capitol building. The protestors were anti-war and said that the people of Iraq did not want American troops there. They marched with barricades on the sides of the streets, and on the other side of the barricades were counter protestors. Both sides had many loud things to say to the other. Arrests and other police action began when the protestors were climbing the barricades after lying on the Capitol steps. The crowd was not pleased with the police. About 190 protesors were arrested.

Opinion

These people are a bunch of hippies (they were trying to show that it’s not just hippies protesting the war) who do not have their facts straight. Many, in fact, most of the people of Iraq want American troops there. More and more Iraqi citizens are coming to American troops or Iraqi police and revealing locations of potential insurgents, which they used to be afraid to do. Many fell that if the troops left, their people would be abandoned to all of the fighting and bloodshed that would take place. These people simply do not have a firm grasp on reality and are blinded. They don’t understand that sometimes war is necessary. Essentially, and not all of them, most are just plain stupid.

Musharraf for Reelection

Summary

Pakistan’s leading political party is going to try to reelect Musharraf, the current president, begore the former Prime Minister, Bhutto, reenters the country from being exiled. Bhutto plans to return on October 18 after being eight years in exile. He wants the presidential election to wait until the parliamentary elections have taken place in January. Musharraf and his party still plan to get him elected before Bhutto returns.

Opinion

I do not know much about Musharraf or Bhutto, but from what I do know, I do believe that Musharraf is better than the alternative. Both are apparently allies with America and anti-terrorism, but one has to wonder. If they really are this, than why are not Pakistani officials doing more to find and eradicate the Taliban and other terrorist organizations in their country. However, “The Devil You Know“, right?

I think that this man is crazy and dangerous especially if he thinks that the holocaust was just a myth and that Israel should be taken out of the map. This man of all the questions that he is being asked he answers not a single question but instead starts talking about Jews being the bad poeple and the Islamic people being the good people. Another bad thing about him is that he claims that the nuclear weapons being built in Iran are being built for good purposes. I think somebody should do something about this man before its too late especially since he is talking about Isreal being "A disgracefulstain on the Islamic World" and also about Islam becoming the dominating force in the world. I think that if no ones does something about this then there could probably be a WWIII. I think that this man is acting just like Adolf Hitler.

kurdistan's Fatal Flames
Why are a growing numer of young women in this relatively safe corner of Iraq showing p in local hospital, dying of suspicious burns?
According to the Women's union of Kurdistan, there were about 95 cases in the first 6 months of 2007 and up to 15% since last year. 95% of these women are under 30 and half of them are between 16 and 21. 6 women went to the emergency room with major burns and all of them told very suspicios stories. Most of the survivors say that the burns are cooking burns but these burns seem to be very serious. The Women's rights advocates in Sulaimaniya believe that the majority of the burn cases are suicide attempts and the other killinga may be honor killings. Plus, one young teenage girl replied that the trend may be aggravated y a copycat efect among Kurdistan's teenagers and it becomes sort of a fashion. These women may use fire because fire is used as a prominent symbol. Burning is the way to die among the Kurdish people.
Opinion
This is very surprising. I don't understand why women would want to burn themselves in order to honor some god or whatever is that they are honoring this I think is dumb. I think that a person shouldn't hurt themselves in order to honor some god because supposibly if you are honoring a god that means its because you love that god and that god loves you. It is also very sad to see that some of these women are burning themselves because they are living a bad life. I think there are other options and other things that people can do when they are having a bad life besides killing themselves.

This is very scary how can a 10 year old boy have set his oen hose on fire and why would he do that? especilly if his mother and stepsister are in there. It is surprising because this boy even confesed to the lawyer and if he confesed what he did then that means that he knows what he was doing. I think that this kid must have done this for a reason. That same day came the announcement that the American and Iraqi troops had raided the Iraqi military academy the day before and they had arrested cadets adn instructors who were involved to the kidnap-slaying of the former superintendent and the abduction of his replacement, who was later freed. The attack ocurred when a suicide driver detonated an explosives-laden truck close to the home of a Sunni Arab tribal leader near Sinjar. Also on Wednesday police reported that an American soldier had been killed the day before by small-arms fire in eastern Baghdad.

War With Iran?

Summary

Democrats joined with Republicans in Congress in voting to officially declare the Revolutionary Corps of Iran a terrorist organization. The movement was passed with a decent majority of the Senate. Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress are pushing the president to officially declare the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. The
Revolutionary Guard is in fact funded by other terrorist organizations. Opposition to this move says that this is just an excuse to go to war with Iran and that the Democrats were mistaken to side with Republicans on this issue. Some believe this action will lead to war with Iran, and some believe that the former are just blowing this out of proportion.

Opinion

I believe this is a good move on Congress’s part. Finally the Democrats acquire some intelligence and side with the Republican intellect that we have all come to know and love. I do not believe that this will lead to war with Iran, or at least not right away. Even if it does eventually lead to war with Iran, that might not be such a bad thing. I honestly believe that Ahmadinejad with his loopy ideals will one day attack, in one way or another, America or one of its allies. This possible war would just be a preemptive strike that would prevent death of innocent people. War or no war, the move was a good move. Militarily, politically, economically, one way or another, action needs to be taken against Ahmadinejad and his supporters.

Killing in Southern Afghanistan

Summary

An approximated one hundred seventy insurgents have been killed in the last three days of fighting in southern Afghanistan. Coalition troops targeted a compound suspected of harboring insurgents in Helmand. Two insurgents were killed and others were captured. Approximately one hundred insurgents died in the region of Musa Qala. A coalition group was on patrol northeast of Deh Rawod, where they killed over three dozen insurgents, preventing an ambush.

Opinion

Progress is most certainly being made in the Middle East. Whoever says that war never does any good is dead wrong. Progress is being made, and, ideally, the Middle East is on a path to be cleaned up. This may not ever happen completely, but allies will be made through the actions the current government is taking. If success is made in Iraq, the U.S. will have an ally in a vitally needed area. This country will be a great platform for countering terrorism in the area. It will also show that there is hope for other countries to become democratic and, most importantly, that America stands its ground. In the words of Cash: “ No I won’t back down.” This will make other nations second-guess the idea of fooling with this country. However, if the pussy liberals have their way, and America pulls out of Iraq, this will just add fuel to the anti-American fire that already runs ramped in the Middle East, not to mention what will become of the people of Iraq. WE NEED TO FINISH WHAT WE START!!!!!!!!

Newman and Kramer Cans

Summary

In a 1996 episode of Seinfeld, Newman and Kramer find that they can collect aluminum cans and travel to Michigan to get a bigger refund for them. Well, now fiction becomes fact. Ten people in Detroit were charged with running a criminal enterprise, a twenty-year felony, and fraud, a five-year felony. They went around collecting recyclables and depositing them themselves. They had stores where people could bring their cans to the stores. The owners of the stores would then sell them to merchants who would redeem them. This corruption defrauded the Michigan Bottle Deposit Fund, which gave its profit to environmental clean up.

Opinion

That episode of Seinfeld was hilarious! That entire show is really funny. These people just need to find a way to make honest money. It’s not that hard. Plenty of people do it. One wonders if humanity will ever learn. Some idiot(s) appear on the news with a story of a criminal scheme gone stupidly wrong due to an overwhelming lack of intelligence. Then what happens next? The same story is on the news, and this time, those involved have probably heard about the former. Stupid crime is the worst crime and at the same time the best crime. I mean, seriously, cans? Chavez the Idiot

Summary

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez decided not to attend the U.N. meeting this year because of packed schedule at him in Venezuela. He sent a representative instead. In the meeting last year, Chavez called Bush the devil. He also congratulated, on the behalf of the Venezuelan people, Ahmadinejad for going to Columbia University and unmasking America for the empire it is, and U.S. hostility to other nations. Chavez called the invite to Columbia an “ambush” and said that Ahmadinejad faced tough questions. He is proud of his Iranian ally.

Opinion

YOU CAN SUCK IT CHAVEZ!!!!!!!!!!! You are not a president, but a dictator. You country is nothing like a republic or a democracy, but an oppression. The world is a lesser place with you in it, much less as a leader. American hostility? Maybe that’s a reference to the war that is taking place, but Iraq was far worse off before American troops set foot there. Also, if I recall correctly, Iran AND Venezuela have been involved in brutal hostility, much more than the U.S. You have so much crap to speak about America, but without us, you would be nothing. This country supports at least a third of your economy. By the way world, listen up and get wise: If this guy is a good friend of a might-as-well-be terrorist, and soon to be just that, we might want to pay attention to this guy and keep tabs on him. This guy calls Bush “the devil,” but if Satan is accomplishing his work here on earth through anyone, it is people like Chavez and Ahmadinejad. Bush is in fact the one fighting Satan’s work through these people, and, if I may be so frank (I know I will get a lot of flack for my beliefs in this area), Bush is the one carrying out the Lord’s work in the world. If people don’t start get some intelligence and wisdom, ‘tards like Chavez and Ahmadinejad will be able to succeed, which is bad news for everyone. The pussy left needs to realize that war is sometimes the best way to handle some situations. Violence really does stop violence. Which brings me back to Ahmadinejad at Columbia, and I know everyone is tired of my tirade about this, but he should have never had the chance to speak at the university. That is one evil man, folks! This needs to be realized. This country is poop if Barack or Clinton is elected. Also, Chavez said that Ahmadinejad faced “tough” questions at Columbia, and made him sound like the victim, but Ahmadinejad made the president of Columbia, Lee Bollinger, look like a total retard. This was a mistake to invite him here. If you were to ask Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli, he would say that Ahmadinejad should have been assissinated while he was here. That would have probably been best for everyone, but, again, the stupid left would make a fuss, like always.

At first, the police did not want to file the report. Once the police began the search for Tanya, Tom made himself available to any searches or tests that the police wanted to complete. Thursday Tom signed a release form for the police to look at cell phone records. While he was in the middle of starting to take a lie-detector test, police came in and informed Tom they found a cell signal. Tanya was found stuck in her car down a raven next to the road. She was having a hard time breathing but alive. Now in the hospital, she is having kidney failure and may possible have a leg amputated.

Opinion:
Tanya is a miracle. I do not know how anyone involved in a car accident and not found, could possible live eight days. I believe as well with Tom in saying God kept Tanya alive for eight days until found, so He would not let her die now. God has amazing plans for her life and she will be able to share her testimony as a witness to those around her. I wonder if there will be any argument or case about the police not immediately searching for Tanya because they said she was grown woman and she has a right to leave her husband for a few days. It will be interesting to watch.

Huntsville,Alabama has commenced creating large fallout shelter in case of a terrorist attack. This shelter cost about 70,000 dollars from a grant from the Dept. of Homeland Security. It could house about 20,000 people in the event of a nuclear or chemical attack. It would also protect the town when and if the radiation would spread. The town is also securing itself with college dorms, churches, and research halls, which would bring the total of protected people during an attack to around 300,000. Thus, nearly the entire town and surrounding county might be protected. In an age of terrorist threats and al-Qaida cells no one can be too safe.

They feel as if the television networks have a right to help and strengthen society. These meetings and edicts have come to a climax just weeks before a 17th Party Congress.

Opinion:
Well, I should reprimend the Chinese for violating the right to free speech, or freedom of the press. That is my feeling as an advocate of Democracy and such. However, as a Christian, I am not completely against this. Banning explicit or harmful television shows and commercials is not a bad thing. It could make a society stronger and purer. But, this is China, I am not quite sure how pure they will get. Again, I have mixed feelings regarding this odd matter. I suppose it depends on what train of thought one uses to view this issue.

International:
In Adelaide, Australia an HIV-positive man named Chad Parenzee had been charged for having unprotected sex. The courts charged him for having unprotected sex with three women. Again, he was HIV-positive. He appealed this case to the court claiming that HIV has no real relation to the AIDS virus. The judge felt Parenzee had not fully grasped the magnitude of the damage he had caused, as one of the women he had slept with later tested positive for HIV. Parenzee will not be eligible for parole for five years.

Opinion:
Does anyone else find this disgusting? Honestly, I think this is more of a private matter than a public one. It should have been up to the women Parenzee slept with to know what they were getting themselves into. They should of at least insisted on 'protection.' Also, if it was consensual, I see no need for the Court to be brought in this affair. People need to take more responsibility in what they do.

Russian Mother Has ‘Giant’ Baby

Summary:
Tatyana Barabanova gave birth to a little baby girl last week weighing more than 17.5 lbs. Every one was in shock said the mother. The father stood there blinking, not saying a word. The mother’s previous babies weighed more than 11lbs said a reporter. All the mother ate prior to delivery was “potatoes, noodles, and tomatoes because they could not afford special foods” said the mother. Could that have been the cause of her babies weighing so much upon delivery?

Opinion:
I think it’s very interesting to hear these stories because it helps us learn more about babies. My main question is how did the baby get out of there without hurting the mother? A baby that big had to hurt immensely as it came out. I just find the story very fascinating because I know I did not even weigh half that when I was born and its just interesting to know babies can come out that big.

Bridge Collapse in Vietnam kills Scores

Summary:
Once again there is another bridge collapse in the world. Wednesday in Vietnam (Hanoi) a bridge collapsed killing 60 and trapping 100. Vietnam TV caught the collapse on tape and said people were still trapped. A scaffolding of 100 men were working beneath the bridge as it collapsed. More than 100 are reported dead or missing. The immediate cause of the collapse was unknown but Vietnam TV said that prior rain may have softened the foundation causing it to collapse.

Opinion:
I don’t know what the world’s problem is with bridges but we need to get it fixed. I really feel bad for all the workers underneath, but I wonder, if they can conclude that the collapse may have been from rain, and then why when they began working underneath the bridge after the rain did they not think for a second that maybe it being wet could cause it to collapse? The main goal now is to find the missing and notify the family of the dead workers.

Adam Sandler Hopes to Help Gay Right

Summary:
Sandler with “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” co-star Kevin James said he would like to work alongside the gay-rights groups. Sandler said “If I can help anybody in any way, I certainly would.” But Sandler does shy away from calling himself a potential gay icon. He is not gay and would not want to represent the gay community even if he was – he would not make a good one. He made a comment about the kiss shared between him and James in his film, “it wasn’t that bad; he was clean and seemed to brush his teeth and all that.” The two co-stars do not want to offend anybody but if they can help people they would love to do so

Opinion:
It just seems more and more people are becoming pro gay rights. It is sad because most of all it is against God’s Laws, not that that matters any more in the world today but it does to me. Homosexuality is wrong and more and more people that support it the better chance it has in becoming law or something or other. I liked Adam Sandler but stuff like this makes me not like him. Whether you are gay or not supporting gay rights is completely against what I believe and wrong and I can not appreciate those people or support what they do.

Supreme Court Spares Texas Killer

Summary:
Less than two hours before his execution Carlton Turner Jr. was granted his stay of execution. The Supreme Court ruled to grant his stay. Turner’s attorney appealed to the high court hoping that its planned review of lethal injection procedures in Kentucky could keep him alive. Turner, at 19, shot his mother in father in the head repeatedly, bought new clothes and jewelry and continued to live in the home. Now the execution has been halted until a ruling on the Kentucky case is decided. Turner would have been the 27th inmate from Texas to be executed this year and the 2nd this week.

Opinion:
I believe in the death penalty and for someone like Turner why should he deserve another year to await execution? He brutally murdered his mother and father and had the guts to live in their house even after the fact. Even now he is not afraid of death so why not just get it over with. I just don’t understand why argue over this because the man is going to be executed no matter what, whether it’s now or ten years down the road. Why is this matter something worth fighting over? I guess it’s no big deal I just don’t like the fact that murderers like Turner who should die are still living and winning ridiculous cases like this. They deserve death and eternal punishment for what they have done.

Hurricane Lorenzo has made landfall along the east-central coast of Mexico with winds near 80 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. "Preparations to protect life and property should have already been completed," forecasters said. The storm was expected to rapidly weaken as it moved inland, forecasters said. As of 2 a.m. ET, the center of Lorenzo was about 40 miles south-southeast of Tuxpan, Mexico, and maximum sustained winds were near 80 mph with stronger gusts. The storm was moving west at near 8 mph and was expected to continue on that course.
Opinion:
It seems to be a very heavy and threatening storm threat. There is much talk of life threatening events that could occur if worst comes to worst. There are so many storm warnings that it is hard to keep track of what is really happening. I pray that the people of Mexico are safe and secure and find comfort in the Lord and not be so frantic.

A girl was found "safe and well" after authorities released images of her from a videotape that also showed a man performing explicit sex acts on a younger girl. Police want to know the identity of this little girl, who appears to be 4 or 5. The girl who was found, who detectives earlier said they think was 10 to 12 years old, was not sexually abused and "never suffered as a victim at the hands of the perpetrator as the first girl has.” The part of the video showing the older girl was shot in Nye County, a rural county near Las Vegas. Details were not disclosed, and no additional information about the identity of the girl or the circumstances of how she came to be on the video was made public. But Boruchowitz said investigators feared the younger girl was in danger. Sheriff's detectives were also seeking a man whose image was seen on the video.
Opinion:
It is a true blessing to hear that the girl in the tape was not harmed in any way as they say. It is truly a praise from Gods love and mercy. This poor little girl has suffered enough, especially through all the exposure and attention that only makes it harder. The video that was made is still of huge worth and is evidence and until we catch the man, many are in danger still.

Twelve Palestinians have died in attacks in Gaza over the past two days, officials said Thursday. Palestinians inspect the rubble of a destroyed building in Beit Hanoun on Thursday. Last week, the Israeli government declared Gaza "hostile territory," and there has been a series of attacks since then. In recent months, Palestinian militants have fired hundreds of unguided and crudely made Qassam rockets into Israel. A member of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades was killed and three were wounded Thursday when a rocket hit a house in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, Hamas officials and members of Al-Aqsa. The Palestinian sources said the Al-Aqsa militants had fired two or three rockets into Israel when they were spotted by members of the Israel Defense Forces, who returned fire.
Opinion:
I hate hearing about things like this. Innocent lives are taken over and over again. It is such a hard thing to comprehend and to try to understand why something like this would happen. Sure it’s not that many men, but all that matters is they are human and things like this shouldn’t happen. I pray for the families of the twelve reported. These rockets need to cease fire and need to be kept away. They are causing a great deal of harm and sadness.

Six Catholic nuns have been excommunicated for heresy after refusing to give up membership in a Canadian sect whose founder claims to be possessed by the Virgin Mary, the Diocese of Little Rock announced. The Rev. J. Gaston Hebert, Little Rock diocese administrator, called it "a painfully historic moment." The Rev. J. Gaston Hebert said he notified the nuns of the decision Tuesday night after they refused to recant the teachings of the Community of the Lady of All Nations, also known as the Army of Mary. The Vatican has declared all members of the Army of Mary excommunicated. Hebert said the excommunication was the first in the diocese's 165-year history. "It is a painfully historic moment for this church," Hebert said.
Opinion:
It is sad to live in a world where sad things like this happen. It is a very ironic situation considering they are nuns. Heresy is an awful thing and should not be taken lightly. It is very unfortunate that this action had to be taken, but it was necessary and was right. It was what was best and what had to be done. It is terribly unfortunate for that streak of 165 years to be ended like this.

No more nudes on Everest call

Summary: Nepal's mountaineering authorities are calling for a ban on nudity and attempts to set obscene records on the world's highest mountain. Last year, a Nepali climber claimed the world's highest display of nudity when he disrobed for several minutes while standing on the 29,035-foot summit with the temperature about 14 degrees Fahrenheit. In 2005, a Nepali couple exchanged vows on the summit as the first couple to get married on Everest.

Opinion: I have to say that there are a lot of crazy people out there. I really don't see a point of taking off their clothes in the freezing -14 degrees weather. However, the government of Nepal should not ban on nudity from the mountain because there are not many of people who reach to the top and it is their free will to take clothes off. I wish they don't get cold

Anorexic fashion ad sparks debate

Summary: An Italian fashion label has stirred debate by featuring a naked, anorexic model on billboards across the country in an effort to raise awareness of the illness. While some have praised the adverts for bringing the issue of anorexia out into the open, others believe it could act as a trigger in some people already suffering from the disease. The organizers of Milan Fashion Week, which runs from September 22 to 29, have also stated that the campaign followed their own against anorexia, the paper reported.

Opinion: Well, first of all, I think these days, women tend to try to lose their weight. Losing weight by not eating is bad because they can get anorexia and end up being like one of the skeleton models in the biology lab. However, a lot of them think the skinny look would look better but I think the skinny look makes them look like a zombi or a monster.

Many drugs slip through regulatory 'black hole'

Summary: Every year, doctors write approximately 65 million prescriptions for drugs not yet approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the federal agency that regulates prescription drugs. When a pharmaceutical company submits a new drug for approval, the FDA gives it a 10-digit number called a National Drug Code. The FDA provides the number before the drug is approved in order to track it through the approval process. But pharmacies use this same number as an order number that works whether or not the drug is FDA-approved.Many doctors and pharmacists seem unaware of this wrinkle in the approval process.

Opinion: The Pharmacists who does not know the standards should be kicked out from the pharmacies because giving out the unapproved medicine would severely damage the patient's body. FDA should strengthen their restrictions and standards and regulate the pharmacies giving out the unapproved medicine.

EU court dismisses Microsoft appeal

Summary: A European Union court on Monday dismissed Microsoft's appeal against an EU antitrust order that ordered it to share communications code with rivals and sell a copy of Windows without Media Player. It also upheld a $689 million fine. The court observes that it is beyond dispute that in consequence of the tying consumers are unable to acquire the Windows operating system without simultaneously acquiring Windows Media Player.

Opinion: The reason why I got this even though this was EU's work is that it is about Microsoft, which is an American company. The monopoly of Microsoft in the market, is just because the buyers like their software. I think in the capitalistic economic system, if a new and small company wants to sell their product, they should come up with better things to get over the old, big, and ruling company of the market. Thus, I do not agree with EU's decision.

You just can't trust daycare centers anymore because of all the bad things going on in them.

International - The Council of Europe (Europe’s main human rights body) will vote next week on October 4th on a resolution that opposes the teaching of Creationism in European schools. The resolution claims that attacks on evolution are based in religious extremism and are an “assault on science and human rights”. This resolution calls intelligent design an updated version of creationism. This resolution was originally meant to be voted on in June, but was postponed because the original resolution was claimed to be too much of an affront to religion. If passed, the resolution would not be binding on its members, but it would reflect a widespread opposition to the teaching of creationism. The council is based in the Eastern French city of Strasbourg. A memorandum to the original resolution stated, "It is not a matter of opposing belief and science, but it is necessary to prevent belief from opposing science."

Opinion – This is a ridiculous resolution, and if I were voting I would vote against it. While I don’t believe Intelligent Design is anything more than a theory, neither is Evolution. While evolution has been proven on a microscopic level, there are huge holes in the updated Darwinian evolutionary theory. I personally believe in creation, and I feel that while there may be some truth in evolutionary theory (the universe has been proven to be billions of years old and to have had a beginning), evolution has not been proven and is no more science than creationism. This is why creationism should be taught as just as much a valid theory as evolution. Neither is true science. However, the reason this issue came up was due to an Islamic creationist textbook. If creationism is taught in public school, it should be taught from the neutral point of intelligent design. But if both of these views were taught in schools, it is also my opinion that they do not need to take up a large part of science lessons, but should only be briefly presented and evolutionary views should simply be distinguished as such when they are come to. One last thing is, isn’t it one of our human rights to the freedom of religion? Even if that religion opposes what is considered “science” at one point in time? Many of the pioneers of modern science were persecuted for their beliefs by the church, and now it seems the tables have been turned. It turned out those scientists, such as Galileo, were right and the “scientific” beliefs of the time, those of Aristotle, were wrong.

International – The world’s oldest man, Tomoji Tanabe turned 112 on Tuesday. The mayor of his city presented this Japanese man with a bouquet and a letter of congratulations, and Tomoji said he would like to live for “infinity”. Japan is facing troubles due to its aging population, which has been placing stress on its public pension system. Japan’s centenarian population is the largest in the world and is expected to be close to one million people by 2050.

Opinion – This is really crazy. I think it would be great to live to be this old as long as you were still active and with it. It seems like this man was. Whenever I hear about these people I always think of the Bible verse in the Old Testament, which states that men will never live past 120 years of age. The oldest man before Tomoji was 115 and the oldest woman currently is 114. However, the increase in life expectancy may be a big economic problem down the road for our country due to pensions, and it’s scary to think that will be during our lifetime.

In Las Vegas, Nevada a girl around the age of 10-12 was found safe and well after being featured in a pornographic movie not as a sexual show though. Another young girl around the age of 4 or 5 was the victim of the movie which was somehow released. The younger girl still has not been found and police fear she is still being abused. Fortunately, the older girl was not sexually abused . The accused man is Darren Tuck. He has been released without bail and authorities are still looking for another man shown in the film.

OPINION
Eww. Why would any grown man rape anyone ever but especially a child? The prosecuted man lived near Vegas just go buy a prostitute -- in Las Vegas that is not illegal unlike raping a child. I would guess that if the youngest girl has not been found she is most likely dead. That is the too typical devestating outcome of stories like this one.

This article is proof that allowing foreign ideas that oppose America to be said in America only strengthen the week and the followers of the speaker. The questions were not very well answered. Summary:
The nation of America has become a land of entertainment. In order to help fulfill the people's needs, the New York Film Festival offers a selection of movies that are quite original. The movies sometimes come from the Cannes Film Festival, and this year they are sure to entertain, amuse or even appal the viewers. One of the film makers is a man named Abel Ferrara. He is widely acclaimed, and this year his film is based on a strip club plot. The movies that appear at the festival aren't always necessarily intended to appease the viewer. Sometimes the point of the movie is to make the viewer angry about a subject, or at least make them consider it.
Opinion:
I am glad that there is a place that non-mainstream producers can have a place to show their films. Many times the movies most worth seeing are the ones that aren't publicly correct. However, I also believe that America has become so obsessed by the entertainment world and the need for their appetite to be fed, that nearly anyone can become famous or well known without having true talent. I read a really great quote in a shop over the weekend that said "Just because people don't understand you, that doesn't mean you're an artist." I wish I knew who said this, because it is very true. Many of the movies that are comming out in theatres nowadays are so redundant of their predecessors. Some originality every now and then would be great. However, strip clubs shouldn't even be allowed to exist let alone be filmed about.

Summary- Clinton Wavers on Torture

Bill Clinton, last year, stated his views on torture: that only if a high-ranking terrorist was caught and we know a huge bomb would be set off in the near future, only then would torture be acceptable to save the lives of millions. This quote was given in the Democratic debate on Wednesday. The different candidates gave their opinions, all against torturing the hapless yet mischievous terrorist, including Hillary. Hillary Clinton, when her husband said this quote, agreed with him, but she changed her view.

Opinion-

So lets recap shall we? Hillary Clinton says that she would agree that torturing the one terrorist would be okay but only to save millions of lives. Then she said that it would be a very dangerous power for a president to have to exempt the no-torture rule. Then now she finally says that under no circumstances will she torture. What is wrong with this lady? Can't she see that causing temporary physical pain to one person that can save millions of people of very permanent death is not only the right thing to do, its a moral obligation. Not only Hillary but all those Democratic asses.

The fortifications are 50 miles long and cost around 30 million dollars, one day's worth of oil export. Leading petroleum companies, including Chevron and Shell, are looking to invest in the area, now that the number of attacks on the pipeline has gone down from over 30 attacks in three months to 10 attacks in 6.

Opinion-

This is the key to the success of Iraq. If they can get their oil flowing again, then we will not be needed. 30 million dollars a day is a fast way to raise money, and since the infrastructure is already there it is mostly profit, nearly 11 billion dollars a year through that pipeline alone. Good for the Iraqis to finally get back on their oil-slicked feet!

Summary- Edwards to accept public campaign funds

John Edwards, in 2004, claimed high moral ground when he refused to accept government funding for his campaign, but now has reversed his viewpoint on that and is going to accept the money this year, when earlier in the year he said he would not. He changed his mind about the federal money when he saw how far behind he was in fundraising compared to Obama and Clinton. He will continue to use federal funding throughout his campaign, but if he wins the nomination will want the Republican candidate to use it as well.

Opinion-

Here's another flip-flopping Democratic screwball... Why would he take such a definent stand on something this large three years ago and then completely reverse his views now? 23 million dollars certainly is not much compared to the 52 million and 58 million that Clinton and Obama have raised, respectively, but I think it is certainly enough to stay in the running and at the front of the minds of the voters. I also think that this is an act of desperation on the part of Edwards, and he will drop out soon unless he finds a miracle.

Summary- Myanmar troops kill 9 more protesters

In Myanmar, the brutal military regime has killed more peaceful protesters, including a Japanese journalist. More than 100000 people protested in Myanmar's largest city. President Bush imposed severe economic sanctions on the top leaders of the militaristic regime, as did other countries.

Opinion-

These poor people just want democracy, but evidently peaceful protests are not going to get the job done, so I think its time for them to fight for their freedom as America did. Obviously the rebels would get US support, and they are going to be killed anyway. In 1988, more peaceful protests ended up with over 3000 dead. You gotta fight for your right to be free.

Extra Credit

Summary-- This week the honorable Mr. Hugo Chavez will not be attending the UN meeting. He says he cannot make it due to his booked schedule at home. Chavez spoke with Akie and commended him on his speech. Chavez and the Iraianians are good allies due to their severe anomosity toward the US. Akie will be visiting Venezula this week while on his way home to Iran.

Opinion-- Well at least Akie had the guts to come over here and say his piece. Chavez wont even show his face in the UN, instead he is sending his foregin minister. I think Chavez does not have the ability to skirt around and not answer questions like Akie does. And who'd have thought that Iran and Venezula are allies.... duh

Two Danish soldiers were killed and one was wounded when their temp base was attacked. One US sailor was also killed in the south. On tuesday 104 insurgents were killed in Musa Qula.

Opinion-- Wow look were doing our job. It looks like these insurgents finally put up an honest fight. And they lost. 170 Afghans dead with the loss of only three colation soldiers. As bad as that sounds id say it was a good trade off. With these 170 dead thats just that many less to fight back at a later date. YAY for the colation!!!

The circuit court ruled that 2 of the provisions of the Patroit Act were unconstitunal, being as they were contridictions of the 4th ammendment. The govt appologized and gave the accused 2 million dollars, but he still wanted to take down the act.

Opinion-- Only in the Democratic Republic of Oregon. This guy was wrongly accused, he got paid for his troubles, alot of payment. But he still wanted more. A sultry kiss in China led to the death of Mao Ansheng this Thursday. His long time partner Xia Xinfeng passed a capsule of rat poison from her mouth to his. Ansheng died soon after. Xinfeng claimed that if one of them cheated on the other he or she would have to die. Xia suspected Ansheng of talking to another woman, so she promptly killed him. She faces the death penalty.

I wonder how they found out she killed him by kissing him. It's the exact opposite of all the Disney movies where loves true kiss wakes the person from death. I'm glad she is getting the death penalty for premeditated murder. That is just to extreme. I wonder if Mao Ansheng knew he was dating a nut job. But it kind of sounds like they were both a little weird.

Tanya Rider of Washington was reported missing on September 19th. Eight days later search teams picked up her cell phone signal and re-searched a three to five mile radius along the road Rider usually took to work. They found her Honda 20 feet down a cliff in a ravine. At the time the police department was told Rider was found her husband was being given a lie detector test. Details on her survival are yet to be released.

Her husband must be thankful he didn't have to undergo anymore investigation! It really sounds like a miracle story. But the article does not make it sound like the car was far from the road, so I wonder why it took search parties so long to find Tanya Rider. It's not like they were looking for just one person; a car is hard to miss.

Al Gore is being sued by a teacher in Britain. After Britain decided to circulate Gore's movie throughout all secondary schools Stewart Dimmock, a school governor, found it offensive. He claims it is "inaccurate and biased". Although the film may have already been viewed by pupils, Dimmock wants it repealed. Dimmock also said the film is"just over half scientific material, 30 percent pure politics and about 20 percent sentimental mush — mush there to soften up the viewer for persuasion." What science is in th movie he said is false. His major point is that scaring kids into saving the environment in such a biased way is completely unacceptable.

I would have to agree wholeheartedly with Dimmock and it will be interesting to see what happens with this case. It sounds as though Britain is more liberal than the US. I have not seen Al Gore's movie, so I can not be to harsh a critic, but I have heard reviews and it sounds ridiculuos! If the British government feels such a need to show the movie they should show it in government class.

Melissa Adams of Pennsylvania was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison after lighting a mentally handicapped man on fire. The man was told to wear a t-shirt soaked in lighter fluid and was then lit on fire. He was found in a trash can and was unrecognizable. Had Adams not confessed, she would be facing the death penalty. Two other men also pled guilty to involvement in the murder and face life in prison. They claim to have killed the man because they thought he was stealing money from them.

Well I think they are all mentally ill. And such a small penalty for Adams is unbelievable. After being charged with first degree murder she could get off with only 30 years in prison! She should be given life in prison at the minimum with a chance to go to an insane asylum. It is really scary to think that people who have committed vicious acts of murder could be set free out into the world again.

Russian Woman's 12 Baby Weights a Massive 17 Pounds
Moscow- A lady in Russian city gave birth to a baby that weights 17.05 pounds-the biggest on tha nation's record. Khalina, 42, delivered her baby girl in a caesarean section at a maternity clinic in Aleisk in southern Siberia. The mother gave birth on September 17, the whole birth process went pretty smoothly and both the child and the mother were fine. The nurses say that neither of the two parents are tall, the father is in the military. In the Guinness Book of Records says that the heaviest baby ever born weighted 23.12 pounds but died 11 hours later.
Opinion
This is very surprising. I didn't know that babies that big could be born. It must be very painful for the mothers but the good thing is that they have caesarean section so thats good because they won't feel any pain. I wonder how babies can get that big how can a mother carry a baby that big.

Texas Hunt for Man Seen With Student Before Her Burning Death
A 19 year old girl named Melanie was found tuesday dead about 20 miles away from Denton where she was last seen with Ernesto. Ernesto was later arrested for suspicion of murder. Police say that Reyes was last seen leaving the store with Melanie in her car. Police say that Melanie left with Ernesto willingly but their relationship still remains unknown. Melanie's body was found burned nine hours later near a Carrollton office complex. The medical examiner is still investigating what cuased it. Melanie was majoring in radio-television-film at North Texas. The family say that when they last talked to her she seemed fine they believe that maybe it was a stranger who might have attacked her. Police say that Melanie was the second person in UNT to be slain this month. Two weeks ago, a 21 year teen was found strangled in her Denton apartment and the police have charged her ex-boyfriend of murder.
Opinion
This is a very sad case especially since police don't know who the murder is. The other bad thing is that police don't know if the killer was the boyfriend or not. I think that police should do further investigation since she's been the second one to be found dead in Texas.

Power Protection

SUMMARY

A test cyber attack was made on an electric power generator at Idaho’s National Lab. These generators are the source for all of our electricity and if one happened to go out it would difficult to survive, because we are so reliant on electricity in today’s life. It is scary how easily the generator’s computer program canned be hacked into if someone has the patience, a computer, and mouse to click. They could literally destroy a power plant. If someone wired a number of generators throughout the country to self destruct they could potentially lead our country into an event worse than the Great Depression. An effort has been made to increase cyber security to prevent this from ever happening but instead the government decreased the security budget. The main concern with this issue is that other countries use the same programs and password for their generators, and our country could be at great risk if a terrorist ever tries to do this to us.

OPINION

I think the government made a bad choice in not investing in more cyber security to prevent our country from a second great depression. It is also dumb of CNN to make a clip about this make it more none, because there are some crazy people in this world and we don’t need to be giving them any extra ideas.

Horse Smuggler

SUMMARY

A man smuggles a small house onto a plain by checking it in a large dog crate from Germany to Atlanta, but once the horse is discovered while trying to get on a flight to Guatemala is when the horse was discovered and the problem occurred. The house was not allowed to complete its journey, because the owner did not have the proper permit and the carrier was obviously too small for the horse and considered inhumane. After the horse was rescued from confinement it was tested for diseases and fed hay and water. A report of violation is being reported against the airline and the horse’s owner.

OPINION

It is not right for someone to confine such a large animal to such a small cage and for such a long period of time. I agree that it is inhumane and wrong of the owner to try and get away with this. The bigger issue though, is that the airlines in Germany did not even check to see what was in the crate before they let it get on the plain to come to the US. There could have been a bomb or something even more harmful in that crate and it would have been easy to bring it into the US. Security around the globe needs to take the same or more precautions in airport security.

Violence on plains

SUMMARY

Parents are complaining that there is not enough concern taken in choosing in-flight movies. The parents would not allow their children to see rated R and PG-13 movies, but once they are on a plain they have no choice. Congress is taking action on this issue. This week they proposed a bill that will require a kid safe viewing areas on plains to keep children from seeing adult films. The airlines already sensor sex, nudity, profanity, and plain crashes on the in-flight movies, but they don’t do anything about violence in the movies, which makes parents most concerned.

OPINION

I like how parents are taking a stand against letting airlines show adult films to their children, but I do not think the solution that congress chose to handle this situation was the best idea they could have come up with, because it will just create more confusion when assigning seats on a plain. What they should have done instead was ban movies with violence or tell airlines to sensor violence as well.

118

SUMMARY

A group of Swiss firefighters came together to make a video about their new directory assistance telephone line number for fire emergencies. There has been some confusion since they recently changed their number from 112 to 118. They are trying to get the point across that if you have a fire related emergency to call their number and not if you have any other type of problem not to call them, because the time taken to redirect a wrong call takes away from the time used for those with real emergencies.

OPINION

Making a catchy rap song about an important telephone number that could save someone’s life is a great idea. People are more likely to remember something if it is part of a catchy song rather than just having a boring commercial that just shows the number. It is always cool to see people come up with innovative ways to get people to remember things, even when it is only a simple three digit telephone number.

#1: There is a daycare in Tennessee that found a baby in a darkened room with a pacifier taped with package tape to its mouth. The daycare just got a great rating a couple of months ago that they were a great daycare center. No one thought this would happen because people can't just take a life like it is nothing. The lady who has owned this place since 1993 has not been returning any phone calls and is just being very quite.

Opinion
I think that is so wrong that someone would do that to a baby. If she thought that doing that to the baby would help it shut up well that is not going to happen. I hate daycares because you never know when people are going to turn on baby's because they are getting annoyed of them. Its just so sad that she did that the baby did nothing to her but cry.

#2: A man is being accused of killing his wife on a family vacation. The question is was it murder or an accident? Well they had been married for 13 years and their marriage was great. The thing the husband did not know was that his wife was having an affair on him for 2 years supposedly with one of his closest friends. The husband found that out after the death. Before that though the husband was starting to become a drunk and ended up gambling all his money away. He lost his job and decided to stay at home with the kids and made his wife get a job. She was really angry and started to file for a divorce. He thought taking a family trip would be good for the family. One night they were outside and he went to go put the kids down and whenhe came back his wife was gone. They found her in the water the next morning. She fell off the balcony but yet there was no trail from the balcony to where she was in the water.

Opinion
I think that the man found out about the divorce papers and then got angry and thought he could fix everything in one weekend. When he realized he couldn't then he freaked out and just got angry and pushed her then dragged her down to the lake. I mean no one else was there to see what happened and he didn't even go looking for her after he found out she was missing. That just has murderer written all over it.

The police have been investigating the whole stituation and have evidence on it because the boy has proof about it. They still yet have not figured out what to do about the situation.

Opinion
I think that no coach in the whole world should be torturing a 4 year old just so he can run the marathon better because he knows if he runs bad he will get beat. I mean its good enough that the kid can runa marathon. And wouldn't you think that if you hurt the kid than that would risk him not doing a good job in the race. That man deserves to go to jail.

#2:In Iran they executed three men on thursday for raping and stealing from a group of twelve young girls. The only way someone found out about it was because one of the girls payed the men not to rape her and she made her way to the cops. The men were hanged in front of a huge crowd of people. They have been cracking down on people and in mid july about 60 people have been arrested and put on trial for death.

Opinion
I know that is wrong that someone had done that to those girls and I am sure all the other people that got arrested were wrong to but they should not just kill them. I mean put them in jail and do it the right way. It gets out of ahnd when people just kill people .
